Camp ASCCA is my home!
I have been to many camps through my life, but Camp ASCCA has a special place in my heart. For first time in my life; i felt that i was part of something because I always felt like a outcast. Every time I go to camp I just felt connected to counselors and didn’t tried to be like a role model to me. I remembered the first time I went to Camp ASCCA I had Will Chapel as my Counselor , he saw that I had trouble going to sleep so he got my communication board and we stayed up and talked all night. I like how Leah Tingle treat me as a human being rather than a person in a wheelchair. My favorite thing to do at camp was to go down the PR line over the fish pond. The PR Line is basically Zip Line for individual with disabilities can experience going on a zip line. I am thankful for an opportunity to go to Camp ASCCA for many years. I am so thankful for the counselors making a safe and fun environment for the campers. Camp ASCCA enables individuals who requires 24 hour care gain their independence from their parents or group home workers.
