How my Tobii changed my life!

--

I have Cerebral Palsy which enables me to talk or walk. Throughout my life, I always have a problem with communicating with people. I use an augmentative and alternative communication device that helps someone with a speech impairment to communicate. The term A.A.C. device or assistive communication or simply communication device. The device you see on my desk is called Tobii, it records my eye movements. So, I can select what to say. After receiving my AAC device I was able to receive my bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Tennessee. One day I was at Walmart and this elderly guy came up to me and pat on my head and I say I am not a dog so don’t pat my head like one.
