Taglines are also known as memory hooks and can be very effective they can help sell your products or services. It all starts with a catchy tagline. For example, Nike’s tagline is just a few words that effectively identify its products. Businesses must choose taglines that will promote the product in a few words. Taglines must be in active voice and should be no more than three or four words. If taglines were long and were written in past tense nobody would purchase the merchandise, you are trying to sell.

Slogan V.S. Tagline

A slogan encompasses a company’s mission statement, what it stands for, and even how it is helping customers in the individual campaigns the company might run. Whereas taglines are typically used to evoke a message in your customers’ minds.

Taglines are also used to promote movies. They are to create hype so people will go watch movies.
