The Great Crippled Painter

Last night. I watched a movie called My Left Foot which was about Christy Brown. Christy Brown was borne with Cerebral Palsy, which left him entirely spastic in his limbs. He couldn’t walk or talk, his brothers push him around in a wheel barrel. His parents refused to put him in a home, which people usually did when they had disabled kids in the 1930’s, they wanted to raised him with his 13 siblings. Mr. and Mr. Brown thought that Christy didn’t understand what was going surround him, but one day he picked up a piece of chalk and write the word MOTHER. Christy’s father took him to a bar and started to tell everybody “my son is a genius”. This man overcame his physical challenges to become a writer and artist with his left foot. In 1989, Daniel Day — Lewis did a good job recreating the spastic movements which Christy Brown experienced during his life.

Happy Cerebral Awareness Month!!
