Top 5 Landmarks that came from the World’s Fair!

A few cities have gotten their landmarks from the world’s fair. The World’s fair usually displayed the achievements of nations around the world. Companies introduced inventions we used every day at world fair events. A few cities may have gotten a building or a unique structure from the world’s fair.

Philadelphia got the memorial Hall that hosted the world’s fair from May 10 to November 10, 1876, to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. Nearly 10 million people visited the exhibition and 36 countries participated in it. The sewing machine, the typewriter, and the telephone were introduced at the world’s fair.

In 1889, Paris got the Eiffel Tower which attracted millions of visitors came to see the tallest tower. From the very first week, though lifts were not in service 30,000 visitors climbed the iron structure that was 1,710 steps to the top.
