Engagement Farming is a social media tactic that uses manipulation to increase engagement metrics, such as likes, shares, and comments. The goal is to make an account appear more popular, but the interactions are often not genuine or meaningful.

Is engagement farming really worth the risk?

Social media platforms are cracking down on engagement farming, Elon Musk who owns X formerly known as Twitter stated creators who are involved in engagement farming will be banned from the platform. This could prevent you from joining incentive program like Medium Partner Program.

Some people may offer to help you to get you some followers for a certain amount of money. Some people may claim that they can get you a large amount of followers but they won’t interact with your content. You will better have luck if you find writers that share the same interesting with you.
